What is the Clutch Pedal

The clutch pedal is used to separate the engine from the driven shaft and change gears when you push the clutch pedal down the engine will separate from driven shaft. A clutch pedal works as a clutch controller.

A clutch pedal is the foot leaver that is operated by the foot. When a vehicle in traffic in this situation Clutch pedal is used to adjust the speed of the vehicle.

Working of Clutch pedal:

  • The clutch pedal controls the power transmission from the engine to the gearbox.
  • In an automatic shifting gear in cars there is no Clutch pedal.
  • When the clutch pedal is released the thrust bearing is released and the diaphragm spring resume to the transmission of power.
